Cash in transit
ILS has been making special locking systems for the high risk area of cash in transit vehicles for over a decade now. The LARK Cash In Transit lock is our patented system designed especially for C.I.T vehicles.
Key features and benefits include:
- Each lock has a unique access code, which can be easily changed.
- A mobile hand-terminal is used to enter the access code. This terminal does not store or retain any memory of the codes following input however, and so cannot be used by unauthorised personnel to open the lock.
- Each vehicle may be fitted with multiple lockers, each having its own lock and unique access code(s). However, each lock may be accessed using a single hand-terminal, making this a very economical solution.
- Codes can be held at the depot and called through only when the van arrives at its destination. A time delay can also be added between codes so that all codes cannot be used at once.
- Using a radio and software developed for the purpose, we can have a different code each time the lock is opened, making this system highly secure. We are also currently developing a system incorporating G.P.S to further enhance security, by reducing dependency on the radio.
Combinations of the above using “one time opening codes” and fixed codes for depots are also options that we are currently working with.
