Mike Ralph - Managing Director

Mike launched Intelligent Locking Systems in the 1980’s, and brings over 30 years experience to the lock and security industry.

Prior to the launch of ILS, he held senior positions with a number of industry leaders, including Sargent and Greenleaf and Relhor. Mike held the position of Business Manager for Northern Europe at Sargent and Greenleaf, where he helped develop the electronic time lock. Following his time there, Mike moved to Switzerland as the Product and Marketing Director for Relhor, developing locks and timing devices for a broad range of industries.

Mike continues to provide the strategic direction for the company, and retains overall responsibility for development of the ILS product range.

Marion Parsons - Operations Director

Marion joined Intelligent Locking Systems in 1991, from a background in Administration and Human Resources. She is responsible for the operational management of ILS, and has implemented the highest quality systems and processes to ensure the ongoing success of the business.

Marion’s particular focus has always been quality, and she steered us successfully to achieving ISO9001:2000 accreditation through Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA). She has also seen us accredited as a ‘SAFEcontractor’ by National Britannia in recognition for our excellence in Health and Safety.

Marion is also our Contracts Manager and she liaises closely with the Service Director to ensure continued customer satisfaction.

Steve Butler - Service Director

Steve’s background was in the motor industry, where he had an apprenticeship with British Motor Heritage and then spent time with Autotec, a Porsche and Jaguar specialist. During this time he quickly learnt the importance of quality, service and customer satisfaction.

He joined Intelligent Locking Systems as an engineer in 1994 and he progressed to Service Manager very quickly thanks to the quality of his work and his commitment to customer satisfaction.

Steve manages the Service Department, ensuring that the engineers provide the best possible service to our customers. He is also a Quality Auditor for the company.
